Let us introduce Vic Bailey:
Vollie Cleveland “Vic Bailey, IV” was born and raised in Spartanburg. While he participated in the family business at Vic Bailey Automotive, his interests would lead him to practice law. In high school he served as a page in the United State Senate. And in college at Furman University he was a David Wilkins Fellow in state legislative affairs. He also interned for a US senator and became involved in campus political organizations. This led to a year and a half working on the staff of a US presidential campaign leading up to the 2008 elections.
After working on political campaigns, Vic enrolled in law school at the University 0f South Carolina, graduating suma cum laude in 2011. During his time at the University of South Carolina School of Law, he served as a production editor on the ABA Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Journal. In addition to being named to both the Dean’s List and the President’s List, he was admitted to the Order of the Wig and Robe when he reached the top 15% of his class. His work in law school included interning for the Seventh Circuit Solicitor’s Office, and shadowed the Honorable Roger L. Couch of the South Carolina Circuit Court.
After law school, Vic returned to Spartanburg to practice. He later joined Anderson, Moore, Bailey & Nowell as a founding partner in 2014. His practice has focused on general civil litigation and medical malpractice defense.
Outside of the practice, Vic is a member of the First Presbyterian Church Spartanburg, serving as a deacon. He is a board member of Christmas in Action-Spartanburg, and Sparkle City Transparent Men. Additionally, Vic is part of the 2014-2015 Spartanburg Regional Fellows Leadership program. He is on the board of Healthy Smiles, which promotes dental car for children in the Spartanburg area through outreach, education and free screenings for all children, as well as free dental car clinics for children in need.
Vic is an avid sport’s fan, supporting the Carolina Panthers, Atlanta Braves, South Carolina Gamecocks, and Furman Paladins. Among his other interests are golf, tennis, history, and state and local politics. His passion for his community drives him in his practice, making him an excellent ally in legal situations.
